Emergence of new right in Europe

Recently, COP 27 meeting was held in Sharm El -Sheikh . The agenda of this meeting was one of the mostly debated issues related to climate change, climate finance . A new fund was also created for the loss and damage of the developing countries, but the consensus among the global players still remains a issue specially on the climate financing .

On the other hand, west is struggling with the new type of crisis. It is not relative new to them but the very size of the problem and the current situation of the western countries put them in vulnerable condition to handle the issue. The crisis of MIGRANTS , is trapping western countries in their own dilemma now. Either be it Syria , Libya or Afghanistan , the instability created by western countries because of their interventionist policies, now posing a challenge for themselves . The changing realities for the western countries are now so stark that they are not ready to cope with it neither physically nor mentally .

The financial crisis of 2008 was the turning point . It tilted the balance towards Asia as the two largest economies of Asia were not much affected from the crisis. Indian Financial experts were called by IMF to reinvent a robust financial system which saved India and the world from going to deep recession. Europe was still coping with the challenges posed by the crisis . The financial system was collapsed and the business and manufacturing units were looking for the more favourable destinations like China . Increasing inflation , joblessness led to a slowdown in economy. The matter became worse by the increasing no of migrants after the Arab spring. Already stretched resources were being too much stretched and a backlash was started to began against the migrants .

A data shows that by 2045 whites will be in minority in America, the gap today itself is not very wide and closing quickly . In Europe the resistance is already started. This can be seen in the rise of new right wing parties across all the European nations. The current crisis is only adding fuel to it either be it the geopolitics of the region in the wake of Russia Ukrain war ,the increasing footprint of Chinese policies in Eastern European nations or the issue of climate change .

Georgia meloni a far right leader of the Italy and an ardent follower of Mussolini emerged victories in the recent elections . IN France , the idea of Frenchness is reemerged to safeguard its distinct identity. UK is already facing a parliamentary crisis for the last 2 years after post Brexit deal . Poland , Slovenia , Estonia , hungry to name the few , these nations recently seen a revival of the right wing parties in their nations . Increasing share of votes for the right wing parties is directly linked to their Nationalistic policies like anti migration stance, favourable trade deals in the wake of increasing pressures from developing countries to withdraw subsidies in WTO and a soft stand on climate neutrality.

Repercussions of the rise of far right can be seen in the climate related Goals. While the big countries in the west are demanding that all the countries must became net zero by 2050 and phase down the coal by 2030. The developing countries are demanding that all the developed countries must accept their historic responsibility and became carbon neutral at earliest . But now , west seems to be divided among themselves, as some countries like Poland are not adhering to the EU commitment on the phasing out of coal . Also . Russian war is leading to the energy crisis for the whole Europe . Amid national and regional challenges now the people are tilting more towards the nationalistic parties as they are addressing their demand in the short term but the one should not forget the long term challenges which may be posed by them in the wake of climate change . The last time , Europe tilted towards nationalism it paved the way for colonialism , world wars , atomic bomb destruction and ethnic cleansing .

The rise in hate crimes specially in the post Covid world against the Asian and blacks from US to Europe and the stance of the political parties against the migrants are not two different things. The world is now even more interconnected than even before , and the challenges posed among the world are quite common and universal . So the need of the hour is must be more and more integration, assimilation and Convergence. Putting forward the idea of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’.

Delhi riots and the left wing media reporting

Recently, a new charge sheet has been filed by Delhi Police in the case of riots in Delhi. NDTV journalist Ravish Kumar has raised some questions regarding the police action in this context. As if the police action has been inclined towards a particular sect, and are those people guilty of knowing who were related to the protests against the citizenship law, or who gave inflammatory speeches in these demonstrations? And also said that why the  B.j.p  leader Kapil Mishra’s name  has not been mentioned in chargesheet?

Kapil Mishra was not arrested as his statement may be inflammatory but not anti-national. Ravish ji has not mentioned in his report any anti-India slogans and piecemeal gangs given in Jamia and Shaheen Bagh. There is no statement about external anti-social elements and neither has there been any mention of Jamia violence. Explained the arson and violence they committed. Where aside Ravish Kumar is trying to get JNU , Jamia and Shaheen Bagh   together and wanted to connect them in a thread , they did not think of the death of a young and promising officer of a big agency called I.B. In his report, people have been told about injuries in many places, but they forgot the officer who served the country, who was stabbed fifty to sixty times and his body was thrown in the drain. If the police arrests Tahir Hussain with ample proof against him who is involved in such a conspiracy, then it shows the readiness of the police not the discrimination against anyone or any community. On the one hand, Ravish Kumar blames the police for the injury of a small child in the riots. But  when Tahir Hussain’s colleague Faisal Farooq along with the rioters start firing from the roof of Rajdhani Public School which is located in Shiv Vihar. And throw petrol bombs in school and rob them while the children are still in school. Why does Ravish ji not show this incident? Ravish Kumar once mentioned Harsh Mander but didn’t say much about Harsh Mander, while addressing the agitators on 16 December 2019,he encouraged them to not to believe in the Supreme Court of the country and to take on to the streets. Harsh Mander is said to be an opponent of India’s interest and an ally of George Soros. Along with this, Mander is also said to be close associate of Sonia Gandhi.

In his video again and again Ravish kumar talked about the protesters protesting in a peaceful manner, but why are you silent on the people who came in between and shouted anti-India slogans? Why is the loss of common people not discussed anywhere? And in this way, the public was harmed by spreading violence, but Ravish ji is raising his finger on the police, whose many soldiers were martyred in an effort to establish peace, why are they never talked about? The NDTV network has also spread a lot of misinformation. Such as a video of Jamia’s room in which the police are seen beating the boys, which was later found fake, and the video of the stones on the roof of a mosque which was edited by NDTV, which was later showed by ANI.   Ravish kumar’s associate  reporter said that after the speech of Kapil Mishra, the issue became communal, I would like to say to him that there were already demonstrations in different places all over the country to protest against the citizenship bill and especially angry with this bill It was our Muslim brothers who took part in the protest. And Ravish Kumar does not ask the question like why riots take place at the time of Trump’s visit to india, who will benefit from it?

Finally, a little knowledge about NDTV network is also necessary. NDTV is owned by Pranab Roy and Radhika Roy. Prakash Karat is the husband of Radhika Roy’s sister who is the senior leader of C.P.I.M. Perhaps that’s why this network is more inclined towards left wing ideology. But the job of a journalist is to keep the truth in front of the public, not to promote an ideology or  anti-national things.
